Hope teenager killed in crash


Chilliwack, B.C. – A teenaged passenger inside a pickup truck which smashed into the back of a five-ton truck Wednesday has died from his injuries.

The 18-year-old was a resident of Hope, B.C. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a woman who has not been identified. She was rushed to hospital and police said she suffered serious injuries but is in stable condition.

The crash occurred at around 11:30 a.m at the intersection of Chilliwack Central Road and Upper Prairie Road.

The pickup truck collided with the rear of a five ton truck while travelling east bound on Chilliwack Central Road.

 The driver of the five ton truck was the alone in his vehicle and received minor injuries.
