Man named in fatal motorcycle crash

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – RCMP have name a 48-year-old man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Aug. 16.

Robert Backer from Kersley was killed during the crash. His passenger, a 46-year-old woman remains in Royal Inland Hospital in stable condition.

The accident occurred on the Pinantan Pritchard road near Paul Lake, B.C.

The bike was  southbound when it went off the road and into a ditch.

Backer was pronounced dead at the scene.
