Human remains found inside burned car in Abbotsford


ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – Police have found human remains inside a torched car left near a berry field.

Police were called to the location of a suspicious vehicle by a citizen who spotted the vehicle parked near the berry farm in the 400-block of Gladwin Road.

“ Our first member on scene determined the vehicle had been burned out and upon closer inspection located human remains inside,” said a police statement.

“The scene was immediately secured by our patrol division  and our Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene,” police said about the discovery.

 Police said their homicide team will take over the investigation.

No further details have been revealed.
