ABBOTSFORD – Facebook tributes are pouring in for Bobby Digeorgio and his girlfriend Jessica Illes found murdered last week.

Police identified 24-year-old Bobby Lee Roy Digeorgio as the person whose charred remains were found in a burned out vehicle parked on a berry field near the 400-block of Gladwin Road on August 27.

Police said they used dental records to make a positive identification.

While investigating his death, police stumbled on to the body of his girlfriend, Jessica Illes, 23, said Cpl. Dale Carr.

“While conducting inquiries into the murder of Digeorgio investigators attended a residence 31300 block of McConachie Place in Abbotsford,” he said. ” During the inquiries at the residence investigators discovered the murdered body of 23-year-old Jessica Amber Illes.”

“Investigators have complied information to link the Illes homicide to the Digeorgio  homicide,” said Carr.

“Illes and Digeorgio were last seen together and were in a relationship. Both victims were known to police in the Abbotsford area. They were known for involvement in criminal activity and the drug trade,” he said.

“Both of these investigations are linked to drugs and organized crime and are considered to be targeted murders,” said Carr, a spokesman for the integrated homicide investigation team.

In a Facebook tribute to Illes, her sister, Natalie said: “Nothing Can Compare to the bond we had. You were my best friend. My big sister, the most generous, funny, outgoing, lovable, and by far beautiful girl I’ll ever see in my life. I’m so happy I had the chance to experience so many wonderful memories with you.”

” You will always be in my heart Jessica,” she said.

“My heart goes out, bob was always there for me growing up next door to me, he will always be remembered, to his family and his friends my deepest sorrys,” said another friend of the murdered pair.
“My best memories of Bobby were back when we lived on the same street and we would sneak out and just chill under the street lights lying on the grass talking. He was always there for his friends and looked out for them if it were good or bad he would still stick up for you,” wrote Delacey Jose.
“I didn’t really know him anymore or what he was into but it doesn’t matter, he was a good guy he had parents and siblings and know one should be taken away like that, I hope they pay.”
Many friends of the pair lament the failure of the system to help people with addictions and some complain the media has failed to see the point that no one deserves to be killed.

  1. I did not know them, but I found out that Jessica was a young mom of a little girl. My heart goes out to both of their families and friends, especially that little girl who has to go through life without a mom. No matter what “lifestyle” they chose, they were someones kids, friends etc… and that to me, is sad.

  2. I have to say thanks as well. I dont care what anybody says I know in my heart that these two were amazing people, and I am forever grateful to have been blessed to know them both.

  3. Thank you for posting this..
