Search continued for body of Williams Lake diver
BELLA BELLA, B.C. – A search continued for the body of a 45-year-old diver who failed to surfave while diving in Kwatna Inlet last Sunday.
The diver was accompanied by a boat and six crew members when he failed to surface from the water, 27 nautical miles southwest of Bella Coola.

He was sport diving and was an experienced diver. He was from the Williams Lake.
” When he did not return from his dive, the captain and 6 crew members from his vessel alerted the Bella Coola RCMP. The family has been notified of the diver’s disappearance,” Police said.
A search has been on going since September 13th, 2009, which has involved many dedicated hours from the Canadian Coast Guard, the RCMP North Coast Marine Service, and the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team.
The search is still on going and the diver has not been located.
