VICTORIA – Babes are going bare – all for a good cause.

A fourth-year University of Vitoria woman is organizing a drive to collect $25,000 for a calendar that she says will carry tasteful pictures of 12 women and the hope is that the calendar will raise the money the group wants to raise to help the B.C. Cancer Agency.

“Essentially this is a student-run non profit venture for BC Cancer Agency. I decided to try to find 11 women to appear with me in a tasteful nude calendar,” said Trish Caddy.

“ I wanted to set an example for girls and women everywhere that beautiful is not about looking one certain way…. that it’s more about how you feel about yourself and what you do with the life you’ve given,” she said.

“We have everything in place, from the women to the photographer to a printshop willing to give us a hefty discount,” said Caddy as she takes her campaign to local businesses and Facebook as well as Twitter.

“ Our last hurdle is simply the cost of printing. Our estimated costs are approximately $6000. We are asking business to help us get these calendars to print by making donations towards our printing costs,” she said.

Multiple sponsorship possibilities are available.

$500- Platinum Sponsor- Donors receive advertising space along with their logo on the bottom margin of one month in the calendar, advertising on our upcoming website, plus recognition for their gratitude at our headshaving rally (limit 12 Platinum Sponsors)
$300-$499- Gold Sponsor- Donors receive their logo on the back of our calendar, advertising on our upcoming website, plus recognition at our headshaving rally.
$100-$299- Silver Sponsor- Donors receive their logo on the back of our calendar.
$100 and lesser- Bronze Sponsor- Donors receive their business name printed on the back of the calendar.

“Any donations collected exceeding $6000 goes directly to the BC Cancer Agency,” said Caddy.

 ”The Q and the Zone radio stations have generously offered to help us advertise our fundraiser.”

Donations can be deposited directly into a Non-profit account with Coast Capital Savings, the account number for which is given below. All cheques may be made out to “Babes Go Bare For Cancer” and mailed directly to the address below as well,” she added.
