I agree I think our government needs to take control of this virus and shut everything down for two weeks until this virus is gone so no one else dies from this. I worry every minute of the day about my kids getting this deadly virus.

The only reason that schools are being kept open is for the economy. If parents are forced to stay home with their kids to potentially save the lives of fellow students or their own children for that matter, the American and world economy will plummet once again. Less people working = less people spending money. Never mind the billions of dollars that are flying out the pocket of tax payers by keeping the schools open and having kids on medical assistance in the hospital with H1N1. Perhaps if we quarantine the sick and the healthy for two weeks the virus would run it's course and disappear??? Well, in the big picture I guess the almighty dollar is still worth more than the lives of children to the majority of our society. For shame!

The authorities in all regions of the world have dropped the ball on Swine Flu. They have not been able to cope despite a six-month time frame they had in which to act. Overall, U.S. has done far better than Canada where I think the minister of health, the provincial minister of health and the health care leaders should step down. The problem is that the media is lame and the public is not showing their outrage. The U.S. have vaccines already, Canada will get it next month.
There needs to be rethinking on school closures because young people have the highest rate of hospitalization. Statistics have to be gathered so we have an exact idea what happened.

I tested positive for swine flu in July. I recovered in a couple of weeks. I am hearing that hospitals and doctors offices in WV are not at the present time testing for swine flu. I have been fold by friends and co-workers that they went to the doctor or hospital and were told they probably had swine flu, but there were so many that they were not testing everyone with symptoms. Statistics cannot be accurate if health care agencies in West Virginia are not testing most cases.
