U.S in the grip of Swine Flu: Deaths from pneumonia, flu ‘epidemic’ as more kids die
By Salim Jiwa
ATLANTA – Deaths from pneumonia and flu have crossed the threshold for an epidemic in the United States and 11 more children have died in one week period ending October 10, the CDC announced.

The CDC has also provided a detailed accounting of child deaths, saying 43 fatalities, a majority linked through lab confirmation to Swine Flu, have been reported since Aug. 30. Since the start of the Swine Flu infections in April, 86 children have died.
The latest report published on Friday states: “The proportion of deaths attributed to pneumonia and influenza (P&I) was above the epidemic threshold.”
“During the week of October 4-10, 2009, influenza activity continued to increase in the United States as reported in FluView. Flu activity is now widespread in 41 states,” it said.
“Nationwide, visits to doctors for influenza-like-illness continued to increase and are now about equal to or higher than what is seen at the peak of many regular flu seasons. In addition, flu-related hospitalizations and deaths are continuing to go up and are above what is expected for this time of year,” said CDC as Swine Flu gripped the nation coast to coast and as CDC’s U.S. map of widespread influenza activity remained with a handful of states not reporting severe outbreaks.
“Eleven influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported to CDC during week 40 (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana [2], North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee [2]),” the CDC said.
“Ten of these deaths were associated with 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus infection and one was associated with an influenza A virus for which the subtype is undetermined.
“Since August 30, 2009, CDC has received 43 reports of influenza-associated pediatric deaths that occurred during the current influenza season (three deaths in children less than 2 years, five deaths in children 2-4 years, 16 deaths in children 5-11 years, and 19 deaths in individuals 12-17 years),” said the CDC.
“Thirty-nine of the 43 deaths were due to 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus infections. A total of 86 deaths in children associated with 2009 H1N1 virus have been reported to CDC.”
CDC also said it found evidence of bacterial co-infection among 28 of 43 children who died.
“Among the 43 deaths in children, 28 children had specimens collected for bacterial culture from normally sterile sites and seven (25.0%) of the 28 were positive; Staphylococcus aureus was identified in five (71.4%) of the seven children.
“One S. aureus isolate was sensitive to methicillin, three were methicillin resistant, and one did not have sensitivity testing performed. All seven children with bacterial coinfections were five years of age or older and four (57.1%) of the seven children were 12 years of age or older.”
Widespread influenza activity was reported by 40 states (Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming).
Regional influenza activity was reported by Guam and eight states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Vermont).
?Local influenza activity was reported by the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and one state (Hawaii).
?The U.S. Virgin Islands did not report.
“From August 30 – October 10, 2009, 4,958 laboratory-confirmed influenza associated hospitalizations, 292 laboratory-confirmed influenza associated deaths, 15,696 pneumonia and influenza syndrome-based hospitalizations, and 2,029 pneumonia and influenza syndrome-based deaths,” were reported CDC said.
Summary of findings:
- 4,093 (29.4%) specimens tested by U.S. World Health Organization (WHO) and National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System (NREVSS) collaborating laboratories and reported to CDC/Influenza Division were positive for influenza.
- All subtyped influenza A viruses being reported to CDC were 2009 influenza A (H1N1) viruses.
- The proportion of deaths attributed to pneumonia and influenza (P&I) was above the epidemic threshold.
- Eleven influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported. Ten of these deaths were associated with 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus infection and one was associated with an influenza A virus, for which subtype is undetermined.
- The proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was above the national baseline. All 10 regions reported ILI above region-specific baseline levels.
- Forty-one states reported geographically widespread influenza activity, Guam and eight states reported regional influenza activity, one state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico reported local influenza activity, and the U.S. Virgin Islands did not report.

This is BS. The government wants us to still send our kids to school…even though they are not immunized against this flu!!! And now they say the “swine flu” or H1N1 vaccine is DELAYED AGAIN!!! Yet, my children were not allowed to attend school if they didn’t have the proper immunization (before KINDERGARTEN) for what? some 20 or 30 other diseases that have pretty much been erased from society over the years? Well then, throw me in jail because my children are no longer going to school UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THEIR “SWINE FLU” H1N1 SHOT!!!!!
You missed half the story – almost 2400 deaths since August 30 and 20,000 hospialozations: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/updates/us/#totalcases
Look at the graphs above on the report and notice that Flu admission rate is way above last year, and above maximum months normally.
DON”T GET THIS SHOT!!!! It’s all BS. This virus has been around since 1976 – Google it! You have no idea what they are injecting or shooting in your nose. You don’t know what’s in that “stuff” and I bet you haven’t even inquired about it. Do some research on the government and their red allert injections.

Frankly you are an idiot. How did we get rid of Polio? We got rid of it by taking the vaccine which was dead Polio. This ignorance about medicine and vaccinations has got to stop. The earth is round, it rotates, it revolves around the sun. Science is real. This nonsense about fears of “the government” have simply no basis in reality. Have governments screwed up? Yes. There are enough real problems with government without our inventing problems.
I received word tonight from my doctor that I have the Swine Flu. I am begging everyone to take the shot if you can. I feel terrible. People are dying in Texas and across the U.S. from the flu and the complications.
Please stop being foolish and take the shot if you can.
Besides, according to the “WHO”, vaccines don’t get effective until a week or two.
Please get educated about vaccine dangers, and how to respond to this pandemic
non-sense.
Thank you,
