Man wanted by Vancouver Police for seven bank holdups
VANCOUVER – A chronic convict who has the word “love” tattooed on fingers of one hand and “hate” on fingers of the other hand is wanted by police in a series of seven robberies in nine days.
It is not hard to imagine which finger he’ll show cops when he is finally captured but for now police are asking the public to call 911 if they see him.
“Vancouver Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a bank robber they believe is responsible for seven robberies in nine days,” said Const. Jana McGuinness in an emailed press release.
“James Henry Otter has a lengthy criminal record dating back over 25 years with multiple convictions for drugs, robbery and other violent offences. He is also wanted Canada-wide for multiple counts of robbery, as well as a breach of a conditional sentence order,” said the Vancouver Police spokeswoman.
“The seven robberies occurred over a nine day period, with Otter robbing twice in one day on one occasion,” she said.
“A gun was indicated in the hold-up notes and verbalized by Otter, however, none was ever seen,” she said.
“The public is requested not to approach Otter, but to call 911 immediately,” McGuinness said.
Otter, 47, is white. He has a very thin build, a shaved head and possibly has a reddish-blonde goatee.
“Both his arms have full tattoos and he has love tattooed on the fingers of one hand and hate tattooed on the fingers of the other hand. He also has a scar over his right eye,” she added.
