Mississauga man stabbed to death
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – A man who went to a home to confront his estranged wife ended up killing another resident of the home on Sunday, police said.
Cops said they were called to a home at 2385 Gareth Road and found 59-year-old Ernesto Agsaulio bleeding from a stab wound to his stomach.
They also found a man who was being held by others in the household. They took the man into custody.
“The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Despite the medical staff’s valiant efforts, the victim later succumbed to his injuries,” Peel Regional Police said in a press release.
“The suspect, who had been subdued by witnesses at the scene, was taken into custody when officers arrived. It is alleged that he had attended the residence with several weapons, in order to confront his estranged wife,” police said about the incident reported to them at around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said 55-year-old Willie Ching of Toronto will appear in court on Monday morning to face a charge of first degree murder.
A check on an online phone directory shows the victim lived at the address. Police did not name the estranged wife and her relationship to the victim could not be established.
