Mississauga mom charged with killing autistic son in hotel room

Mississauga – Police have charged a Mississauga woman with the first degree murder of her autistic son.

The boy was found dead inside a room at the Homewood Suites Hotel (Hilton)  on Edwards Boulevard at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Police said the boy had “signs of obvious trauma.”

“Shortly after 11:00 a.m., on Sunday, October 25, 2009, officers were called to a room at a hotel, located on Edwards Boulevard. Officers discovered the body of a 15-year-old-boy with obvious signs of trauma.

Police identified the murdered boy as Tony Khor of Mississauga.
“A 51-year-old Mississauga woman was taken into custody at the scene,” said Police.

“She has been identified as Seow Cheng SIM. She is the victim’s mother,” Police said.

The mom is to appear in court on Monday to face the charge.

“Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, which may further this investigation, to contact them at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205.
