Two in custody over robbery with stun-gun
VANCOUVER – A Burnaby juvenile and a Vancouver man have been taken into custody after being spotted by SkyTrain police following the robbery of a Surrey teen on Cambie Street in Vancouver.
The teen was walking along Cambie near West 10th at about 6:15 p.m. on Monday when he was approached by two men, one of whom was carrying a stun-gun.
” They demanded his property and threatened to hurt the victim if he didn’t withdraw money from his bank account for them. Fearing for his safety, the victim withdrew a small amount of cash for the suspects from a nearby bank machine and they ran off,” said police.
The two suspects were detained at the Waterfront SkyTrain station by two alert Transit Police officers who had heard their descriptions broadcast over police radio.
