WINNIPEG – Police have arrested a total of four teens in connection with a house party horror during which two youngsters were killed and a third wounded early Saturday morning.

Matthew Lawrence Victor Reynolds  and Tyler Hawula, both 18, were found in grave condition at the scene and rushed to hospital along with a 17-year-old who had also been shot.Reynolds and Hawula succumbed to their injuries in hospital.

The third youth is in serious but stable condition.

Police said on Sunday that it appears the shootings occurred because two youngsters attending the party were escorted out of the house following a dispute.

“The investigation has revealed that a 17-year-old male and 16-year-old male were in attendance at the house party earlier in the evening. At one point during the evening the two males became involved in a dispute with other party goers and were subsequently escorted out of the residence,” said a police statement released on Sunday.

“It is alleged that the two males returned to the party while in possession of a firearm and in company of two other males, 16 and 18 years of age,” police said. “The suspects entered the residence at which time a firearm was discharged striking three victims.”

The suspects fled the scene.

Investigation has resulted in second degree murder charges against two 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old and 18-year-old Cody Ronald Delorme. All four have also been charged with attempted murder.

The three youths charged are juveniles and cannot be named.
