CHILLIWACK – An 11-year-old girl has told police a masked man tried to grab her while she was walking home from school on Monday afternoon.

“The male approached her from behind and took hold of her arm, and stated “shut up and don’t move”.The female kept her wits about her and escaped his grip. She was able to run directly home. The male was last seen on foot on Fairview Drive,” said Const. Angelina Bowen.

She described the man as having a large belly. He was about 5’4″ tall and had a deep voice. He was wearing a mask with a large nose and a straw hat.

“The victim is safe and uninjured,” Bowen said.
