Suspect sought in knife-point sex attack in Vancouver
VANCOUVER – Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a sexual assault of a woman who was approached while she was in front of the 7-Eleven store at Kingsway and Joyce.
“The Vancouver Police Department is advising the public of a sexual assault that occurred around 3:30 a.m. on May 5th, involving a 34 year old woman,” said Const. Lindsey Houghton.
“The woman was approached by a man while she was in front of the 7-Eleven at Kingsway Avenue and Joyce Street. He convinced her to follow him to a nearby alcove where he sexually assaulted and threatened her with a knife,” he said.
The woman then fled and sought help.
The suspect is described as being an Asian man between 20 and 30 years old, of average build.
He is 5’6” to 5’8” tall, with short straight black hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing jeans, a white or grey hoodie, and high-top runners with a baseball cap.

Police did not say if they have looked at surveillance video from the store.
