Man finally arrested in tragic death of Surrey couple in hit-and-run
SURREY, B.C. – A man has been charged in connection with the deaths of a Surrey couple in their 60s killed during a hit and run accident while the family was returning from an engagement party of a friend.
Bakshish Kaur Badh, 60, and her husband Dilabag Badh, 61, were killed on July 12, 2008 at around 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle rear-ended the car in which they were passengers, said RCMP spokesman Const. Peter Neily.
Neily said an intense investigation finally resulted in charges against Ravinder Singh Binning, 27.
“While driving northbound on 128 Street in the 8500 block, the family sedan was rear ended by another vehicle that was traveling northbound behind them,” said Neily.
“A catastrophic collision resulted from this impact,” he said.

“The lives of the Badh family were forever changed and the Surrey RCMP continues to offer our deepest condolences to them for their tragic loss,” he said.
Led by Cpl. Bho Dhaliwal, a team of investigators arrested Binning without incident on Friday.
