Calgarian attacked with skateboard suffers life-threatening injury


CALGARY – A 65-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being struck with a skateboard.

Police said they found a large disturbance in the 700-block of Centre Street at around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday and discovered a man was suffering life-threatening injuries.

“Upon attendance a 65-year-old male victim was located with what was believed to be life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital where his
condition, has been upgraded to serious and stable condition.”

Traffic was blocked on Centre Street in both directions for a short period of time.

Police took an man and a woman into custody over the serious assault with a skateboard.
