Toronto man imported cocaine capsules inside his stomach
TORONTO – A 31-year-old Toronto man has been charged with unlawful import and possession of cocaine after admitting to hospital staff that had ingested packages of the drug in Jamaica in January.
Police seized 11 capsules by the man’s hospital bed and another 34 capsules were surgically removed from his stomach and intestinal tract.
The man Marlon Rhooms of Toronto was arrested Tuesday and charged the following day at Old City Hall Court.
