Montreal Alouettes Shea Emry is looking for his stolen Grey Cup ring
VANCOUVER – Montreal Alouettes middle linebacker Shea Emry is desperately looking for his Grey Cup ring which was stolen early Wednesday morning when his car was broken into.
Emry said on Twitter: “Just a small slip-up can cost ya something invaluable.”
Police said the ring is valued at $20,000.
“When Montreal Alouette player Shea Emry parked his vehicle in a parkade for the night, he didn’t expect to lose one of his prized possessions,” said Const. Lindsey Houghton.
“Officers investigating a suspicious person call in the parkade in the 600 block of Richards Street in the early morning hours of June 1st noticed a vehicle with a broken window. When the registered owner was contacted, Emry realized he had forgotten his 2009 Grey Cup ring in the vehicle and it was now missing.”
The ring was stolen between 8:00 p.m. on May 31st and 5:30 a.m. June 1, Houghton said.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
