Christie Pitts Park arsonist arrested four years later
TORONTO – An arsonist who set fire to a series of west-end homes in the Christie Pitts Park area more than four years ago was finally arrested on Tuesday.
The suspect, Dallas Rostant, 30, of Toronto, was charged in the Old City Hall court on nine counts of setting light to homes, garages, vehicles and other structures between Shaw and Christie Streets, during an early morning, 30-minute pyromaniac spree on July 2, 2007.
Total damages to private property amounted to $1 million.
