Missing boater feared drowned in Todd Inlet

SIDNEY. B.C. – Timothy Hollands, aged 52, has been identified as the lone boater from Brentwood Bay missing since Christmas Day.
On Thursday Saanich police divers continued their search for the missing man who lived on his 30-foot houseboat at the mouth of Todd Inlet.
Holland was last seen on December 25th around 4:00 p.m in his small row boat rowing back towards his anchored boathouse.
His dog and rowboat were found the following morning alongside his anchored vessel.
Police suspect that sometime during the evening Hollands fell overboard from his vessel.
A further search of the shoreline and Todd Inlet on Tuesday and Wednesday by the Coast Guard and Peninsula Emergency Measures Search and Rescue team failed to locate the missing man.
Anyone who may have seen or spoken with Hollands around the time of his disappearance between December 25th and the early morning of December 26th is asked to contact the Sidney North Saanich RCMP on 250-656-3931
