London street stabber arrested

LONDON – Cops have arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of stabbing two people and assaulting a third in three separate street fights last Thursday.

The suspect, Michael Leonard, of no fixed address, was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police at the Chippewa of the Thames First Nations community.

Leonard is accused of provoking a random fight with a group of people on Wellington Street and lacerating the face of a second person in a fight on Colborne street.

In a third fight on Adelaide Street, Leonard allegedly slashed the neck of a third person.

Both stabbing victims were treated at the London Health Sciences Centre and released.

Leonard has been charged on two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of carrying a dangerous weapon.

Cops are continuing their investigation into the stabbings.
