Whitby swim coach charged with sexual offences
DURHAM – A 42-year-old Whitby swim coach has been arrested and charged with a series of alleged sexual offenses against children, committed between 2005 and 2007.
The charges against Trent McNicol, head swim coach at the Whitby Dolphins Swim Club emerged after he was accused of inappropriately touching a young child.
The sex and age of the child has been withheld from publicity.
McNicol, who was head swim coach of the Whitby Dolphins Swim Club, is charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation, and is being held in custody for a bail hearing.
