Firefighters uncover marijuana grow op

LONDON – A 47-year-old London man has been charged with unlawful drug production after fire fighters exposed a marijuana grow operation at a London residence to which they had been called on Sunday to extinguish a reported fire.

The grow op at 313 Horton Street comprised 82 plants valued at $82,000.

A burning pot on the stove sparked the fire which caused $50,000 in damages.

Joseph Plamondon of London has been charged with one count of unlawful drug production in violation of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
