Suspect arrested in Newell Street shooting

WATERLOO – A 33- year old man has been arrested in connections with the shooting on May 2nd of 59-year-old Kay France Straw and her daughter, 33-year-old Marlene Lynn Buss at their home on 704 Newell Street.

The suspect, Kevin Deshay Ambrose had been living previously with Buss. He was wanted by police for violating his parole and breach of a no contact order with the two women.

Ambrose was arrested without resistance after police intelligence led them to a house they surrounded on 719 Newell street, where he had been residing, several doors from the two women.
