14-year-old youth faces charges of sexual assault

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. – A 14-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with reports received from a number of female victims complaining of sexual harrassment and assault in public places in Williams Lake city during April.

The suspect is accused of having “inappropriately touched” and “sexually assaulted” his victims The reported incidents occurred between April 9 and 11.

The youth has since been released from custody on bail to his guardian under restrictive conditions monitored by police and his bail supervisor.

No date has been set for his appearance in court to face charges of sexual assault.

The investigation is continuing.
