Residential robber caught red-handed
DURHAM – A residential robber wanted for breaking and entering into 11 houses and cottages from Orono and Lindsay to north Peterborough County arrested in Oshawa last week in a combined police operation.
The suspected thief, Robert Rushnell, 31, of Scugog, was nabbed near a King Street residence in Oshawa on May 24 by police from the North and East Division, the OPP and Kawartha Lakes.
Rushnell allegedly broke into the homes and stole a variety of goods, including cash, fishing rods, tackle boxes, televisions, jewelry and liquor.
He is now in police custody charged with break and enter, theft, dangerous driving and evading arrest ,pending a bail hearing.
