One man arrested, another wanted in sex trade workers robberies
MISSISSAUGA – One man has been arrested and a second is wanted in connection with his suspected involvement in five separate robberies of sex trade workers in Mississauga.
Chadwin Andrews, 20, Mississauga was arrested last Tuesday by cops from a task force of the Central Robbery Bureau, Special Victims Unit and the Vice Unit, established in April to investigate a series of escort robberies in Mississauga.
He was charged on five counts of robbery using an imitation gun, threats, and two counts of forcible confinement.
Andrews was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton this week.
A second wanted suspect is described as male, black, aged 25, 5’7” tall, with a medium build. He usually wears distinctive black and white running shoes and black tearaway pants with white stripes down the sides, and a light coloured hoodie.
