Toronto photographer accused of more sexual assaults

TORONTO – A fifth victim has come forward in a series of sexual assault allegations made by young women against 37-year-old Toronto photographer Ryan Chamberlain.

The latest allegation involves a then 18-year-old woman who alleges that Ryan assaulted her three times between October 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 when she came to pose for him as a model. The assaults occurred at his studio which operates out of an apartment on Stewart Street, in the King Street West/Bathurst Street area.

Ryan was arrested and charged on two counts of sexual assault and sexual exploitation at the Old City Hall court on May 29th. The charges related to allegations made under the same incriminating circumstances of sexual assault of a 19-year-old woman on March 6, 2011, and a 17-year- old woman between May 1 and May 14, 2008.

Ryan was due in court yesterday to face the additional charge.

Police say there could be more victims.
