B.C.’s most wanted criminal to stand trial in Richmond

VANCOUVER, B.C. – One of British Columbia’s most wanted individuals has been captured in Toronto and returned to B.C. to stand trial on 32 fraud and criminal related charges.

Apollo Alex Verde, 38, had eluded police arrest for several years and had been living in the Greater Toronto area under several false names.

Verde was escorted by federal police officers back to Richmond where he was brought before the Provincial Court on Monday. He has been remanded in custody and will appear again in court on June 18th.
