Two Oakville men arrested on multiple firearms and ammunition offenses

TORONTO – Two men have been arrested on charges of 47 offenses involving firearms, ammunition and drugs, following an investigation into a shooting incident at an apartment on Eva Road on June 4.

The two suspects, Andrew Kreston, 28, and Kelsey Ivan Evelyn, 34, both of Oakville, allegedly went to the apartment following a previous shooting incident earlier that day in the parking lot of a business premise in Mississauga.

One of the accused men allegedly fired a shot through the window missing a person in the apartment, and another three shots at the door of the apartment. He then broke into the apartment searching for its occupants, and the two fled before police arrived.

A police search of a second residence on June 5th resulted in the seizure of a quantity of powder cocaine.

In a search of a third residence on June 7th police seized an assault rifle, 12?gauge shotgun, two .45 caliber semi?automatic handguns and 500 rounds of ammunition.

Krestson and Evelyn face multiple offenses including the possession and use of an unauthorised firearm, break and entry, drug trafficking, attempted murder, breach of probation and restricted movement.
