$1.35 million marijuana grow-op busted


OTTAWA – Two men were arrested on Friday after officers from the Ottawa Police Service Drug and Tactical squad busted a huge marijuana grow-op at a warehouse in the 6000 block of Bank Street.

More than 1,300 marihuana plants valued at $1,350,000, were seized, along with growing equipment and Canadian currency.

The two suspects, Hai Nagoc On, 36, and Alexander Ha, 30, both of Ottawa, were charged in court with the production of marijuana contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
