Kelowna high-risk teen missing

Missing Samamtha Henman

VANCOUVER, B.C. – A 15-year-old girl is missing since Sunday after she quit a Kelowna group home for high-risk youth.

The missing girl, Samantha Henman, had been staying at the hostel in downtown Kelowna for the past two weeks, but due to curfew violations had apparently decided to pack a suitcase Sunday morning and hitchhike home to Vancouver.

Police believe that Henman may have been drawn into the drug culture and is either in downtown or west Kelowna. Henman went missing before, after rebelling against house rules. She is prone to high-risk behavior and is known to have caused harm to herself in the past.

Henman is described as a Caucasian girl, about 5’8″ tall and 125lbs with shoulder length dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with any information regarding Henman’s whereabouts is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
