42-year-old man critically injured in mystery ‘road nap’

TORONTO – A 42-year-old man was critically injured by a car which struck him as he was mysteriously lying on the road near the intersection of Sherbourne and Gerrard Street East late Monday night.

The man, whose name has been withheld, had crossed onto Sherbourne Street from Allen Gardens near Gerrard Street East at around 2:00 am when he laid prostrate on the ground in the path of an oncoming 1998 Plymouth Voyager minivan driven by a 65-year-old man.
