Wife charged with husband’s murder

RICHMOND, B.C. – Pui Chun Winnie Poon, 35, of Richmond is to be formally charged today with second degree murder in the death of her 38-year-old husband whose body was found Tuesday morning in their Ackroyd Road apartment.

An autopsy to determine the cause of death, apparently the result of injuries caused by some sharp instrument, is scheduled today a police statement said. Meanwhile, detectives of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of a domestic argument that led to the husband’s death.
