Body recovered from Carp Lake
VANCOUVER, B.C. – The body, believed to be that of a 59-year-old man missing on Carp Lake since Sunday August 5th was pulled from the water last Sunday by a private American agency from Idaho specialising in underwater recovery.
The family of the missing man hired the agency which found the body after searching the lake with advanced side sonar equipment.
Earlier, Mackenzie RCMP, Search and Rescue and the RCMP Dive Team failed to find the missing man who had disappeared in the lake after jumping off his boat to retrieve his hat.
The BC Coroners Service confirmed the dead man’s identity and have taken charge of the investigation.
