New Brunswick youth charged in slaying of girl, 17

A 17-year-old New Brunswick girl was found slain in a home in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, NB – An 18-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder in the death of a teenaged girl.

RCMP’s major crime section said the girl was murdered in a residence in Jacksonville.

Woodstock RCMP received a cal at 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 11. She was unresponsive at the scene when police arrived.

The victim is 17 and has not been named.

“An¬†18-year-old man from Jacksonville was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody,” RCMP said.

Amon Kelleter was remanded in custody after making an appearance in court. No further details of the slaying were provided.

The youth is to return to court on Oct. 15.
