
Toronto – A man who allegedly sexually attacked a woman at knifepoint and stabbed a boy in a rooming house has been taken into custody.
Toronto police said the the man entered a room at 3 a.m. with a knife at a rooming house at Hilda Avenue and Steeles on Thursday.
He was armed with a knife when he sexually attacked a woman who was apparently known to him.
“The man entered a room armed with a knife, sexually assaulted a woman and stabbed a boy who received non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
They identified the balding suspect as Ronald Peter Tibando, 54, of Toronto.
On Sunday, Tibando, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.
Police had warned the public the man was extremely dangerous.
The suspect is to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, September 2, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.
